Course Details

 

This unique course is designed to provide law enforcement officers with techniques for reacting associated with such an event as well as the techniques for mitigating those to high stress, short duration critical incidents where they are faced with an unanticipated, deadly threat at close range.  The class will deal with critical stress and the physiological effects affects.

This course has very little classroom lecture.  Most of the 8 hours are spent conducting mechanical drills and force on force scenario based exercises. 

Class will begin at 0800 hours at DFW Airport DPS Indoor Gun Range, 1533 W. 27th St., DFW Airport, TX 75261.



Course Topics

 
  • Core shooting skills and advanced weapons manipulation using Airsoft training weapons.
  • Close Quarter Battle with armed adversaries
  • Eye/Hand manipulation techniques
  • Shooting, moving and communicating under stress to survive a lethal attack at close range.


Prerequisites

Safariland Training Group only trains Law Enforcement, Corrections and Military SRT. 

Required Equipment

 
  • Some padded clothing is suggested but not required. These will be force on force scenarios.
  • Gloves, thick shirt, your own custom "wrap around" eye protection
  • Men and Women groin protection
  • Women (padded bra highly recommended).
  • Regular belt for use with concealable holster provided by Safariland
  • Plain clothes for role playing scenarios

For acceptance into any Safariland Training Group program, individual registrations must be submitted online.  Payment or departmental purchase order must be included when registering for a course.
